Perched on the side of a Scottish hillside, with views of majestic Ben Nevis, this charming wooden cabin is the ideal place to enjoy the peace and tranquility of this stunning location. The lodge sits amongst a grove of oak, pine, birch and hazel trees inhabited by a multitude of bird species who, accompanied by the nearby trickling of hill streams, provide a calming soundtrack to your stay.
Guests can experience true solitude amongst the natural meadow garden, filled with wildflowers, which extends across a 600 acre private estate. But when the Scottish weather takes a temperamental turn, the cabin provides a cosy retreat where guests can continue to relax while still enjoying the magnificent landscape but from the warmth and comfort of the lodge.
It is constructed of large timbers trunks which have been left exposed to create a true cabin in the woods atmosphere. Modern furnishings and fixtures have been used to ensure stays are filled with luxury and comfort. The open plan living area has vast windows which allow an abundance of natural light to stream in throughout the day and give guests the experience of watching the weather move across the Glen. A large corner sofa lies next to a cosy wood burning fire, perfect for curling up beside with a dram and a good book on cooler evenings. The open plan space includes the kitchen and dining area. The well-kitted out kitchen makes creating meals from the fresh local produce a pleasure and the dining table is perfectly situated for lengthy breakfasts gazing out onto the countryside beyond.
Whether guests spend their time daydreaming from the comfort of the cabin or hiking the surrounding hills, a good night's sleep is assured in the two double bedrooms, both offering more lovely views and great sleep disturbed only be the occasional hoot of an owl. Crisp linens and snuggly duvets cover the wood framed beds and soft sheepskins lie over the floor. Both bedrooms share a beautiful family bathroom and the master bedrooms boasts its own freestanding bathtub which sits on a mezzanine to maximise the wonderful outlook.
The cabin is situated a few miles from Fort William where there are many nice restaurants to enjoy including Crannog, which serves the freshest Scottish seafood, or enjoy a pint and some traditional pub food at the lively and popular Grog and Gruel. The surrounding area gives plenty of opportunities to walk off any excess but, if the feet are a little tired, visitors can do some seal spotting from one of the the many cruises which leave from Fort William.
