Puntagorda, La Palma
This stylish villa right on the coast of La Palma in the Canaries is the perfect spot to take in sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean and stargaze at night
Villa La Palma is listed in affiliation with VILLANOVO.
Villa La Palma is an elegant modern villa with a private pool and stunning Atlantic views. It sits perched on a hilltop right on the west coast on the island of La Palma in the Canaries and offers peace and privacy - the perfect spot to relax, unwind and soak up those incredible ocean views.
Each floor of this two storey villa can be rented separately. The light, bright first floor with its huge floor-to-ceiling windows has two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and is ideal for a couple, or a couple and two kids. If you want to come with friends or family you can rent the ground floor of the villa too, with a further two double bedrooms. Each floor has its own kitchen and bathroom (plus two WCs) and is linked by an outside staircase, ensuring guests all have plenty of space. However the villa is only ever rented out to one party at once, so this luxurious hideaway will be all yours.
Inside the villa is stylishly decorated with contemporary, comfortable fittings and all the little details thought of - from books, cds and dvds in the living room, Egyptian cotton sheets in the bedrooms, to herbs and spices, cook books and complementary coffee in the kitchens. The gorgeous bathroom on the first floor is a real stand out feature - you can soak in the enormous tub while looking out across miles of uninterrupted sea views. The terrace stretching the length of the first floor is another place to enjoy those amazing views and it's also a great spot to stargaze - you'll find a telescope out there. La Palma's dark skies make it one of the world's best places for astronomy.
The villa sits within mature and pleasant gardens and has a gorgeous private infinity pool, which almost seems to spill out into the Atlantic. There are sun loungers and a little seating nook with outdoor sofas, plus an outdoor dining area with a family-sized table. The pool and gardens are private and secluded, with no other buildings between you and the ocean.
La Palma's rugged landscape, with its volcanoes, forests, waterfalls and beaches mean it's known as the 'beautiful island' and in 2002 the whole island was made a UNESCO nature reserve. The waters off La Palma are known for their diving and it's a great place to take some scuba lessons. As well as the stunning natural scenery you'll find pretty little towns and villages, with bigger places like Puerto Naos down the coast offering relaxed nightlife and great places to eat.
