Set amongst the olive trees and cypress pines on a quiet hillside in Corfu, Villa Ionia offers stunning views and plenty of relaxation. Located near the village of Arillas on the north west coast of the island, you’ll be able to enjoy the spectacular sunsets from the large outdoor space. Start the day with a refreshing dip in the pool and breakfast out on the terrace soaking up those views, before strolling down to the golden sands of Arillas beach. Head to one of the traditional Greek tavernas for lunch or enjoy a scenic road trip and discover other parts of the island. Enjoy cocktails on the terrace before dinner and watch the sunset over the three islands you can see from the outdoor dining space.
The interior of the villa feels bright and spacious with a big open-plan living space, plenty of natural light and high ceilings in the rooms upstairs. It has been furnished in light, neutral tones, creating a relaxing atmosphere and a pleasant escape from the heat in the middle of the day. The large living space is the perfect spot to relax on the big comfy sofas or prepare a poolside snack in the well equipped kitchen.
There are four bedrooms in total, two double rooms and two set up with three single beds. They all feel spacious and have double doors with spectacular views over the sea and the island. Each of the bedrooms has its own ensuite where you’ll find toiletries and fluffy towels ready for you, along with some additional towels for the pool.
Outside, you’ll find a covered living area with comfy sofas gathered around a coffee table, perfectly positioned to enjoy the view. Just next to this is the outdoor dining area where you can enjoy breakfast as the island wakes up around you or dinners together, late into the evening. Spend lazy afternoons relaxing by the pool on a lounger or going for a swim in the chemical-free water.
It’s a nice walk or a short drive down to the village of Arillas where you’ll find pretty streets dotted with seaside tavernas. It’s known for its beautiful sandy beach with crystal clear waters, ideal for swimming or watersports. If you fancy exploring, there are some beautiful walks through the countryside with the Afionas and Porto Timoni trails offering breathtaking sea views. Head a little further north to Sidari and the Canal d’Amour, a series of rock formations you can climb and swim between or hire a boat to discover more of the coast and explore nearby islands.
