  The Detail...

For centuries the vistas of Tuscany have inspired musicians, artists and writers, captivated by the stunning views, fascinating history and inspiring culture of one of the most popular European destinations.

Set on the Western slopes of Mount Albano, overlooking the Chestnut and Oak forests which cover those famous Tuscan hills, this 18th Century villa offers magnificent scenes, tranquility and luxury, yet is well-situated for exploring this inspiring and exceptional part of the world.

This traditional Italian villa, built from local stone, is set amongst beautiful lawned gardens, approximately 250 metres above sea level, and boasts a fabulous pool with a hydromassage area and shower and changing area. Lie back on the sun loungers or enjoy morning coffees on the shaded terrace area. Wherever you turn beauty abounds, from the sparkling blue waters of the pool, the cloudless skies or the abundance of nature which surrounds you.

Step inside on to the cool tiled floors and admire the wood panelling and timbers which adorn the ceilings, the traditional Tuscan chestnut furniture and many period features including a beautiful old fireplace, a large marble sink and exquisite stained glasswork. The kitchen is the heart of the Tuscan home and this is no exception. Fully-equipped for taking advantage of the famous local produce, shutters keep it cool in summer while an open fire creates a cosy vibe on wintery days.

The ground floor also boasts a formal dining area and sitting room, toilet and shower room and a splendid double which has doors opening out onto a terrace where you can experience more of the breathtaking views. Upstairs boasts three further bedrooms, two more doubles and one twin room, and two further bathrooms, each room has been assigned a colour depending on the decorative theme and are furnished with antique furniture and paintings and Persian rugs. The master is an ensuite which boasts a Turkish bath and all three bathrooms have hydro massages.

The owners are also offering a water purifier and sterilizer for domestic use to get potable water, plain, cold and sparkling. This appliance will be available starting from the 2020 season. Apart from the benefit of an excellent quality water, you can also get it directly from the kitchen tap at any time and naturally free. This means there's no need to bring heavy bottles from the supermarket and there is no problem for the recycled plastic trash!

Guests will also be able to receive a welcome basket for dinner and breakfast that will feature spaghetti, tomato sauce, parmesan cheese, Chianti wine, bread, and salad. There will also be tea, coffee, milk, butter, croissants, bread, marmalade, cereals and fruit juice.

So, idle away your days under the Tuscan sun, admiring the views and never leaving poolside or take a slow morning stroll up to the old town Monsummano Alto for a spot of lunch or to stock up on supplies. The Valdinevole is a beautiful spot and free from the mass-tourism of other parts of the region. Nearby are the Giusti Grottos, the Pistoia Hills and many lovely, typically Tuscan towns and villages including Lamporecchio and Vinci (the birthplace of Leonardo).
