The detail

Villa Atlantique is a sleek and chic beach villa in the laidback surfing town of Anglet. Overlooking the golden sands and ocean waves of Madrague beach, it has mesmerising views that you won’t want to miss. Located in the heart of France’s Basque region and just around the corner from the glamour of Biarritz, it is the place where incredible surf, tranquil walks and stylish city living can be explored.

The villa is hidden at the end of a private road and has a design that is inspired by the luxury of Long Island beach life. With its own exclusive coastal walkway and stunning ocean views, it embraces the sophisticated side of beach resorts. Here, sea-view decks are joined by an indulgent Jacuzzi and heated pool to make this a designer hang-out where groups of up to 14 can chill-out.

The open-plan living and kitchen area has floor-to-ceiling glass doors which open out over the captivating coastal vistas. Large dining tables and comfortable seats can be found outside and in, along with a modern kitchen and traditional Basque BBQ for cooking up those evening meals. A cosy movie theatre and exercise room is also hidden on the lower level and is ideal for indulging in a little bit of laidback living.

The luxurious sleeping accommodation is split across the villa’s three levels and includes two king-size suites, three double rooms and a bunkroom that sleeps up to four. A mixture of private balconies, breath-taking sea views and sumptuous beds make these rooms the perfect place to relax, while the minimalist furniture and quality wood floors give them a chic, designer finish. Five modern bathrooms can also be found throughout, including two en-suites and one deluxe in-room shower with ocean views.

The Basque region surrounding the villa is known for its rich natural beauty and is a place where lush pine forests and idyllic beaches co-exist. 11 sandy beaches can be found along the Anglet coast including the local Madrague beach which is well-known as a surfing hotspot. Mountain hikes and coastal walks are great for exploring the stunning scenery, while delightful shops and restaurants can be found in Anglet town. The city of Biarritz is also just a short drive away and is home to some of the incredible Michelin-starred restaurants that can be found in the local region.
