Just a stone's throw from the charming village of Beadnell and a hop and a skip from the Northumberland Coast AONB, you will find the perfect marriage of modern architecture and serene countryside living. At Tughall, guests can choose from three ultra-contemporary, modernist cabins: Ash, Hawthorn, and Willow. While contemporary in design, their overall aesthetic is inspired by the owners’ encounters with Scottish bothies and shacks on the Northumberland coast.
Each cabin has all the necessary modern conveniences for a relaxing stay, and the location ensures guests will be ideally poised to explore some of Northern England's most beautiful countryside. Sleeping a maximum of two guests, these cabins are ideal for those couples that enjoy nothing more than lovely vistas, serene locales and each other's company.
The cabins boast a deceptively spacious interior, bathed in natural light during the day by virtue of large feature windows. While minimalist, you will have everything you need to make the most out of your stay. Each has a well-equipped kitchenette and a circular dining table sits beside a large picture window, so you can enjoy home cooked meals while taking in the views of the wild surrounding countryside. A cushioned bench lies in front of the windows, while a cosy wood burner sits adjacent to keep you toasty all year round. Each cabin has one bedroom with a comfy king size bed along with an ensuite shower room. Step outside your cabin and onto the sheltered decking - the perfect spot for enjoying a morning coffee as you take in beautiful vistas. For a relaxing evening under the starlit sky, why not curl up around the outdoor firepit?
Just a short walk from the Northumberland Coast - a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - the region is a nature lover’s dream, with numerous walking and cycling trails to enjoy. The cabins are just a 10-minute walk from Beadnel Beach, while the Cheviot hills are a 30-minute drive. For those who need a slice of city life, Newcastle upon Tyne is approximately one hour's drive to the south. The Northeast of England's largest city, it is known for its shopping, nightlife, and cultural scene. Some of its many landmarks include Newcastle Castle, Grainger Town, The Millennium Bridge, and its historic port.
