The Workshop Hepworth is a delightfully unique and charming property, nestled away in the scenic Holme Valley. The Workshop has been beautifully renovated into a contemporary home but keeps its rustic charm and character. As well as lots of great local pubs and eateries, the surrounding area boasts plenty of footpaths to explore and trails to discover, perfect for keen cyclists and outdoor enthusiasts.
The home is smart and stylish, inspired by the workshop’s original aesthetics and designed to balance its industrial roots with modern decor. The interior has been tastefully furnished and decorated, and you’ll find lots of lovely lighting, plants and interesting artwork, as well as some of the original features, with some parts dating back to the 17th century. The Workshop prides itself on sustainability, with a Greencoat zinc roof and an eco-friendly air source heating system which provides every room with underfloor heating.
The open plan living and dining area is a perfect place for guests to relax and socialise, with lots of comfy seating and a large dining table where you can enjoy a meal. The modern kitchen is well equipped with all the appliances and basics you could need to cook comfortably. The mezzanine floor looks over the main area and has additional seating and a desk, ideal if any guests have any work to keep on top of. There’s also an enclosed patio area with chairs and a table if you fancy some fresh air, making this the ideal spot for a nice morning coffee. When it’s time to unwind, there are two cosy bedrooms with comfy double beds, bedding and linen.
The property is a short drive to Holmfirth town centre, a picture-postcard town in the heart of the Holme Valley known for its fantastic views, historic buildings, pubs and shops. It’s also where ‘Last of the Summer Wine’ was set and filmed, fans of the show can journey around the filming locations on the popular show tour. If you fancied something more local, you can warm up by the fire and enjoy a hearty meal and a local ale at the historic Butchers Arms pub, that is literally right next to the property! Holmfirth is on the doorstep to the Peak District, famous for its many trails and stunning scenery, and if you're feeling adventurous, Sparth Reservoir is great for wild swimming.
