The detail

This marvellous, modern eco-friendly barn conversion offers groups of up to eight guests a fabulous place to stay in the Cornish countryside. Situated just in land from the stunning coastline of Bedruthan Steps, this barn is bright and vibrant, with contemporary amenities and beautiful views out across North Cornwall. Eco-conscious travellers will be delighted to know that Sheepfold has some great eco-credentials. The property is insulated with triple glazing and has an MVHR ventilation system. And, to top it off, the hot water is solar powered!

When you step inside this lovely barn you'll enter the social, open plan living space. This room boasts warm oak floors, whitewashed walls and large sliding glass doors that allow in plenty of natural light. This space is ideal for spending time together and is home to a lounge area, complete with a comfy sofa and a wood burner, meaning you can stay toasty and warm all year round. The living space also features a nice dining area, with a rustic, wooden dining table that comfortably seats six. This is an ideal place for hearty breakfasts, light lunches and delicious dinners that stretches long into the night. And when it comes to preparing meals, the kitchen is aptly equipped with everything you need to whip up a feast.

This lovely barn has three bedrooms on offer. The master bedroom features a huge, supremely comfy king-size bed and has its own ensuite for added privacy, which features a shower, basin and WC. There's also another king size bed up in the attic, which sits beneath some sky lights. Then, the final bedroom is the bunk room, which is perfect for kids. This room features two sets of bunk beds, meaning it can comfortably sleep four children, and the kids will love the climbing wall feature in this fab room. The barn also has a large family bathroom with a bath, shower, basin and WC.

Stepping outside through the patio doors, you will find yourself in the garden which features a private terrace and a large raised lawn and offers you the chance to soak up the marvellous views of the surrounding farmland. This space has a BBQ for some alfresco cooking and some outdoor dining furniture offering the perfect place to enjoy meals in summer. The garden also provides you and your loved ones with lovely views out towards Bedruthan Steps and the sea beyond. In the summer months guests are provided with a shade so you can remain cool whilst socialising in the sun.

Sheepfold is situated in a small hamlet that is just inland from the sea. You'll love the peaceful, rural setting and if you want to venture out there are lots of delightful walking opportunities nearby. Be sure to take the footpath that carries you across the fields to the dramatic coastline nearby at Porth Mear. Porth Mear offers a fantastic rock pool area for kids and the walk there takes you across boardwalks through a beautiful wetland conservation area. Those travelling by car may wish to head out further, and if you do, you have a whole host of fantastic beaches and quaint villages at your disposal. Sheepfold really is a fantastic base from which to explore all that North Cornwall has to offer.
