Leave the busy modern world in your rear-view mirror as you bask in the blissful solitude of this romantic cabin retreat
Located in the middle of the scenic Shropshire countryside in the hamlet of Clee Stanton, lies The Retreat. This idyllic wooden cabin sits on a plot behind the Bed and Breakfast, Timberstone. It's own little slice of heaven, this is the perfect retreat for any couples wishing to get away from the city and forget about the 21st century rat race (you can even request to lock away your gadgets!). With its picturesque location and rustic feel, you can let the peace of the countryside wash over you, and lay back as all of your troubles melt away.
The Cabin is situated at the end of a winding wooden boardwalk to the rear of the B&B. Walk through the glass double doors and you'll be greeted by its open-planned, cosy atmosphere. Composed of the finest timber, its rustic and homely aesthetic creates the perfect relaxed air for you and your loved one to unwind in. Features include a lush king-size bed with Egyptian cotton bedding, a well-equipped kitchen area with double hob, combi grill/microwave, kettle, toaster and fridge, and a separate bathroom with a double ended bath and rain shower. Outside you will find a fire pit with logs and blankets, so you can enjoy the night skies in the utmost comfort. If you'd rather soak the night away, then you're free to enjoy your very own private hot tub on the deck. The adjoining large garden area also comes with its own charming little treehouse and BBQ.
There is plenty to see and do in the heart of Shropshire. As a deeply historic region, there is something to satisfy everyone. Whether it's gorgeous countryside, medieval castles, centuries old abbeys or ancient towns, you're sure to find something to suit your needs. Just five miles away is Ludlow, a medieval market town with a wide array of shops, pubs, restaurants, and almost 500 listed buildings (including an 11th century castle). If you would like to venture a little further, then the town of Bridgnorth is roughly 13 miles from Timberstone. Another typically picturesque Shropshire town, Birdgnorth is deep in the Severn valley and boasts its own steam railway running for a few stops to Kidderminster.
