This former Victorian bakery, full of charm with a modern and stylish interior, makes a wonderful base to discover the delights of pretty Whitstable.
Whether it's sea swimming or discovering the town's many independent stores, The Old Bakery provides guests with a relaxing and luxurious place to unwind and enjoy special times with friends and family.
Step into the bright and welcoming living room where guests can switch off after a long journey and begin to plan their stay. Sink into the comfy sofa and double size armchairs which sit on the terracotta tiles that run throughout the ground floor of the bakery. On evening's in, settle down to a movie on the wall-mounted flat screen television or play board games, chat and laugh.
Move directly into the kitchen and dining area, where pools of light stream through the patio doors which lead to the courtyard garden. The modern fixtures and fittings make cooking a cinch for guests and what better way to bond with loved-ones than over a wonderful meal and delicious wines? A cute, circular dining table will seat everyone comfortably for lengthy breakfasts and dinners. Or take meal times outside into the lovely walled garden. Whether it's morning coffee with fresh pastries or sundowners with appetisers, this quiet space is a great spot to congregate.
At the end of long days exploring and relaxing, there are three lovely bedrooms to choose from. The master bedroom boasts a beautiful bay window which looks out onto the street below. A dressing table makes the perfect spot to quietly check emails or finish off bits of work. The two double bedrooms have great quality mattresses for a comfortable and deep sleep. Youngsters will love snuggling in the twin bedroom and a queen sized double can also be found on the first floor. There's also a stunning wet room on the ground floor.
The Old Bakery is within walking distance of Whitstable Harbour as well as some delightful shops, beaches and restaurants. Maybe head to Grain and Hearth for hearty breakfasts and great coffee. Samphire is the place for local and seasonal produce and try a trip to Wheelers Oyster Bar to enjoy some of Whitstable's well-loved shellfish.
