Enjoying pride of place, nestled among the hills and valleys of this exquisitely beautiful region and overlooking a Scottish wildflower meadow. The Lodge at Dun Aluinn is a picturesque and unique property with world class architectural design and detailing. Guests can book this lodge on both a self-catering basis or with a hired private chef for that added slice of luxury. Capable of accommodating up to eight guests between four bedrooms, all with en-suite bathrooms, The Lodge at Dun Aluinn is the ideal getaway for large families, wedding parties, groups of friends or colleagues on retreats.
Everything about the cottage has been designed, built and fitted to the highest standard, creating a uniquely comfortable space which serves as a perfect base from which to explore the rugged and dramatic region. The Lodge is on the grounds of the Aluinn estate, but benefits from its own private entrance, distinct parking, and grounds.
Internally, the rooms are light and spacious, combining decadent rural architecture with modern, elegant design. The open plan kitchen forms the central space, with world class cooking facilities and ample preparation surfaces, although your hosts will always be happy to arrange catering for you via a locally respected private chef. On the same floor you'll find the magnificent lounge with its built-in feature fireplace.
Outside, an expansive wooden deck has been built, benefiting from a fire pit, outdoor seating, and truly remarkable views towards the River Tay. Inside the Lodge, the bedrooms are designed and laid out with the attention to detail that characterises the space. Two of the rooms have king sized beds, and two offer super kings, all with their own private bathroom and far reaching views of the surrounding countryside.
Guests can enjoy long days spent fell-walking and white water rafting before enjoying a pint in a charming pub. Or evenings spent at home cooking up seasonal local game to eat on the deck with friends. And thanks to the option of the private chef you can enjoy a more sedate week without cooking or washing up, meaning you can spend time browsing bookshops and drinking wine with friends. The Lodge at Dun Aluinn is roundly praised in the travel and luxury press and when you arrive you'll realise why.
Visitors flock to the region from around the world, drawn by the breathtaking beauty, storied past and agrarian lifestyle. Guests will be delighted to learn that Aberfeldy is within walking distance, making it ideal for groceries, a dram of local whiskey, or a slap up meal. With its community cinema and independent bookshops, Aberfeldy is a charming market town that's well worth a visit. From hill walking to mountain biking, fishing to distillery tours, any number of local pursuits can be accessed from right on your doorstep.
