Set on a peaceful hill farm in the heart of Highland Perthshire, Dalmore Bothy offers guests a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of life, switch off and reconnect with nature. The newly built, self-catering holiday home boasts incredible, far-reaching views, luxurious interiors and all the amenities you could wish for. Best of all, it’s perfectly located to explore one of the most beautiful parts of Scotland.
The bothie’s wooden exterior blends seamlessly with the rugged Highland surroundings and looks especially attractive when lit up at night. Inside is just as impressive, characterised by large windows that create a light and airy space, which is exquisitely finished with bespoke furniture and artwork. At the heart of the home is the open plan living space, where you’ll find the lounge area with two comfy sofas and a cosy log burner, a lovely spot to relax with a good book and a wee dram. When it’s time to eat, the high-end kitchen awaits, fully fitted with modern appliances and spacious worktops where keen chefs can prepare a feast.
After a long day out in the countryside, you can retreat to the two bedrooms and sink into the luxurious beds, fitted with crisp linen. The main bedroom features a king size bed and the second a bunk bed, double on the bottom and single on the top, ideal for children. Both rooms have large windows, allowing guests to wake up to the glorious views. There’s also a super spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, premium toiletries and fluffy towels.
The home is fully surrounded by decking, offering spectacular panoramic vistas; one side overlooking the Strathmore Valley and the other a gentle river flowing by. It’s a truly wonderful place to unwind with your morning brew or dine al fresco under the stars, and little ones can let off some steam with the football net, basketball hoop, swingball and other games in the play space, whilst you sit back and relax.
The property couldn’t be better situated to discover the stunning scenery of the Perthshire Highlands. It is located on the famous Cateran Trail, a 64-mile route through scenic farmland, forests and moors in the heart of Scotland, perfect for walkers and cyclists of all ages and abilities. There are also opportunities for golf, fishing, paragliding and skiing, just ask the knowledgeable hosts for recommendations (they know everything about the area).
Despite the bothie’s rural location, it’s less than a 10 minute drive to the nearest towns of Blairgowrie and Alyth, where you’ll find independent shops, cafes bars and restaurants. Slightly further afield is the historic city of Perth, renowned for its vibrant city centre full of award-winning retailers and artisans.
