Romantics will adore this stunning Grade II listed, converted stone-barn situated in one of the prettiest villages in the Cotswolds. The Little Barn exudes romance and luxury with fittings and furnishings of the highest-quality. It offers couples the chance to escape the world for some peace, indulgence and relaxation.
Spend days exploring the gentle walking trails of the local countryside before heading to the barn for cosy afternoons by the fire. The spacious entrance hall and separate cloakroom has lots of space to leave muddy boots and hang sun hats, brollies and rain macs.
Heading to the sitting room, guests can load the ottoman with snacks and drinks, sink into the comfy sofa and become entranced by the flickering flames in the stylish honey-stone fire place. A large window seat, piled with cushions and blankets, offers wonderful views of the village from the comfort of this lovely room.
Flag stone floors lead to the stylish kitchen where couples can create romantic suppers. Cooking is a breeze in this lovely space with solid wooden worktops, a double butler sink and Rangemaster oven.
Light the candles, pour the wine, place fresh flowers in the vase on the table before settling down to eat at the charming vintage circular table which sits in the vaulted-ceilinged dining hall. This magnificent space boasts skylights and a spectacular exposed stone wall - unforgettable meals are guaranteed.
Leading from the dining hall is the wooden stairway taking guests upstairs to the luxurious bedroom with its 3,000 pocket-sprung king size bed, crisp high-quality linens and duvet. Lovely views can be enjoyed from this quiet room. There is an ensuite shower room and a decadent separate bathroom where guests can slide into the freestanding tub with a glass of Champagne.
On clear evenings, head outside to the cute courtyard garden, where guests will find an outdoor corner sofa and blankets to snuggle under. Settle down with a hot chocolate and toast marshmallows over the fire pit, watch the stars and enjoy the tranquility.
Lower Slaughter is a quintessentially English village and home to what was recently voted Britain's most romantic street. The Slaughter's Country Inn is a two minute walk away and there are several other pubs and restaurants within 1.5 miles of the barn. The Mousetrap Inn and The Croft Restaurant both come recommended.
