Tucked away in the West Wales countryside, in the Teifi Valley, this boutique cabin offers the chance to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Lovingly handcrafted using local timber, it’s one of just two cabins on the site, so is the perfect choice for a peaceful, romantic getaway for two or a reflective solo retreat.
From its honeycomb-shaped windows to its bespoke wooden deck, The Hyde is packed full of character. Built and furnished using reclaimed pieces and vintage finds, a stay at this unique home will certainly be one to remember.
Inside the compact cabin you’ll find everything you need for a comfortable stay. The cosy snug area has a comfy sofa, perfect for relaxing in front of the log burner, and a dining table and chairs for indoor eating. The hexagonal windows overlook the meadow, bringing the outside in and casting interesting shapes across the walls on a sunny day. The open-plan kitchen may be small but it’s fully equipped with an oven, gas hob, fridge and all the essentials you’ll need to whip up feast.
Tucked away at the other end of the cabin is a luxurious king size bed and an ensuite bathroom with a toilet, sink and shower. After a restful night’s sleep, you can throw open the curtains and enjoy the view through the honeycomb windows without even having to get up – what a great way to start the day.
Outside, The Hyde offers a choice of secluded spaces. The deck is a great spot to sit and soak up the natural surroundings, tuck into an alfresco meal at the dining table or relax in the wood-fired hot tub. You’ll also have your own firepit area with BBQ, perfect for keeping cosy once the sun’s gone down.
The Hyde is located close to the Ceredigion coastline where you can visit sandy beaches and harbour towns or try your luck on a dolphin-spotting boat trip. There are also plenty of activities to keep you busy in the surrounding area, including kayaking, coasteering and rock climbing or, for a slower pace, take a stroll along the Teifi River or enjoy a drink in the local pub.

Leave a reviewWe booked a 2 night stay at The Hyde. It was a beautiful cabin in a lovely location. Nick and Lauren were amazing hosts and always at the end of the phone if needed. Instructions left for hot tub and a list of recommendations near-by. We loved every minute of it and would definitely return. Was very much worth the long drive we made.
