In the heart of England's beautiful Cotswold countryside, you will find The Hall. Set on Woodcock Farm - made up of 36 acres of grazing meadows and woodland - this luxury one-bedroom apartment has been lovingly renovated by the owners to ensure maximum comfort for guests. The Hall's refurbishment has been carried out with its rustic heritage in mind - as evidenced by the various period features found throughout. With its homely interior, perfect location, well equipped kitchen, and private patio, this farmyard gem provides all the ingredients to make the ideal couple's getaway.
The Hall sits in what was once the farm's threshing room. It offers a gorgeous combination of original fixtures (including timber framing throughout) and contemporary design, ensuring that the farmstead feel remains firmly intact while still providing all the necessary mod-cons for a comfortable stay. The ground floor is open planned. The sitting area has a leather double sofa bed, two comfortable chairs, a smart TV, and a cosy hearth and wood burner. The contemporary kitchen is fully equipped, while the dining area looks out into the private garden and patio through full height glass doors. The bathroom contains a large rain head shower cubicle. The large bedroom sits on the mezzanine floor and contains a king size bed.
Woodcock Farm sits on an iron age hill fort dating back over 3000 years, and running across the large meadow and barrows of this fascinating site, is the Cotswolds National Trail. The Cotswolds Way stretching from Chipping Campden and ending 102 miles south in the Unesco World Heritage city of Bath, is fully accessible from The Hall and a delight to walkers, nature lovers and anyone who enjoys beautiful walks with stunning views, reaching all the way to Bristol and beyond to Wales.
Nearby is the market town of Chipping Sodbury, which houses several shops and local eateries. Just a few miles to the south is the historic Roman city of Bath, famous for its Roman-built baths and Georgian architecture. Bristol - one of the UK's most energetic and thriving cities - is just a 20-minute drive from the farm and offers a thriving arts scene and all the shopping and nightlife that one could expect from a large city.
It is necessary to have a car unless you are very keen walkers!
Historic towns of Bath and the Cotswolds are within 30 mins drive, whilst Bristol is around 25mins drive
