The detail

This stunning barn conversion, with its gorgeous cedar and granite exterior, blends rural life and holiday luxury seamlessly. Resting in mellow countryside on a working farm and sleeping up to four guests, this little pocket of elegance is ideal for a family or friends holiday in the sought after Mawnan Smith. Guests arrive via an idyllic country lane to a pretty courtyard where The Granary will welcomes them, and upon entering you'll find a delightfully modern open-plan living space, with elegant and very tasteful fixtures throughout.

The kitchen is light and sleek with a large connecting breakfast bar where you can sit and enjoy a morning coffee. This space is fully equipped with integrated appliances for preparing huge feasts. There's a dining table which comfortably sits four people and the owners have even popped a Smart TV in there for your enjoyment.

The living area has a very cool granite wall section with a wood burning stove and the corner sofa is big and plush with a funky soft green armchair, perfect for reading that holiday page turner. The space is decorated in serene tones with wood accents and is the perfect place for unwinding in the evening with a big glass of wine whilst you take advantage of the custom surround sound system offering streaming from built-in iPads and a wall mounted Smart TV for movie nights.

When it's time for bed you can make your way up the floor-lit staircase to the two sumptuous super king size beds. Both bedrooms have en-suites with marble detailing throughout. Both with walk-in showers and one with a fabulous freestanding bath for an indulgent bubbly soak. The rooms also boast exposed beams for that country charm vibe and Juliet balconies where you can take in the views of the surrounding countryside.

As if all this wasn't enough, at the rear of the barn you'll find a wonderfully landscaped garden with a large patio area with a gas BBQ and dining space meaning it'sthe ideal space for an al fresco meal in the warmer months. As evening sets in you can light up the fire pit and enjoy your drinks with the warmth of the fire crackling away. Open that chilled bottle of champagne and sink into the pergola sheltered hot tub for an absolutely luxurious treat and if the weather is fabulous why not take advantage of the brilliant (and fairly private) outdoor rain shower?

From the barn you'll have easy access to the South Cornish coast path and beaches. There are some beautiful creeks and woodlands to explore in Helford, less than ten minutes away by car. If you're feeling adventurous you can hire a motor boat, kayak or dinghy to explore the Helford Passage on water and stop for a delightful seafood lunch and some Cornish ale at the waterfront Ferryboat Inn. Check out the beautiful sandy cove at Maenporth which is perfect for swimming, sun-bathing and rock pooling, and make your way over to Falmouth, a little further along the coast, for a day and enjoy its excellent pubs, restaurants, art galleries and shops.
