Get away from it all and reconnect with nature at The Butterchurn, a quaint studio lodge set on four acres of natural fields and woodland. Wander the pretty kitchen garden full of fresh seasonal produce and spend time watching the chickens strutting around before hopping in your very own wood-fired hot tub. Guests can can even try a bit of wild swimming in the pond (if they are brave enough!) And if you're after an added touch of luxury, you can enjoy a session in the sauna in the spa for a small additional hire charge. Your romantic retreat is the perfect location for a special occasion or just to escape and relax.
You won’t need to compromise on comfort with a Hypnos cashmere king size bed, which ensures a restful night’s sleep is guaranteed after a long day of exploring. An Esse Warmheart stove will keep your cabin extra toasty on those chillier evenings when you can curl up with a good book in peace and relish the tranquility in comfort.
A separate kitchen offers a Nespresso machine, induction hob and fridge freezer, meaning you can prepare delicious meals throughout your stay and if you prefer your cooking alfresco, there is a firepit with a BBQ grill outside where you can cook your sausages or steak while watching the sun go down.
Your modern bathroom is complete with a rainforest shower and fluffy towels to ensure you stay cosy once you step out.
Dual-aspect sun decks provide the perfect places to relax with a cup of coffee and look out over your garden. Heat up the wood-fired hot tub and enjoy an open-air soak. Apple trees line the garden and provide a rustic backdrop to your cosy home.
The expansive grounds provide plenty of opportunities to explore and look out for wildlife. If you’re feeling energetic, you can hire a bike and ride along the quiet country lanes which are nice and flat. There are a host of quaint inns to stop at along the way and several vineyards where you can take tours and enjoy tasting the locally produced wine. The stunning North Sea coast is nearby and you can enjoy a traditional day at the seaside. Southwold and Aldeburgh are both pretty destinations with many places to eat and drink. Enjoy a walk along the beach watching the tide come in as you have an award winning ice cream.
