Teal House is a beautiful home for eight in the marvellous Northumberland countryside. Built in a hunting-lodge style, the home has a part-stone, part-cedar clad facade, and sits overlooking the stunning Cheviot Hills. As you approach you’ll be in awe of the wild beauty that surrounds you and once you step inside you can get the kettle on and settle in for a warm cuppa by the fire in the cosy lounge.
The open plan living space is the central hub of this lovely home. Here there are comfy sofas and armchairs sitting around the log burner, offering you a great spot to catch up over a glass of wine in the evening. The living area also features a grand dining table with space for your whole group, ensuring you can gather together for long lazy lunches or big dinners that stretch into the night.
When the weather’s warm you can slide open the glass doors, letting the fresh air in! Step through the doors and you’ll be out on your private deck where you can take in the view. This is also a great spot to sit on the sun loungers with a book and while away an afternoon in the summer sunshine.
Back inside, Teal House’s kitchen is nicely equipped with everything you and your loved ones will need to prepare meals during your stay. There are two ovens, an induction hob, microwave, wine chiller and a fantastic Quooker hot tap. There’s also a dishwasher, so no one’s lumbered with the washing up and a coffee machine for that all-important first cup of the day.
At night, Teal House has four dreamy bedrooms that have all been individually designed to create calming spaces for you to unwind after a day out exploring the area. The bedrooms are supremely comfortable and have ensuite bathrooms for added privacy that offer heated floors to keep your toes toasty. Two of the ensuites have bathtubs for added luxury! All but one of the bedrooms even come with their own private sunbathing terraces.
With the amazing Cheviot Hills all around you, you’re spoiled for choice when it comes to scenic walks. Be sure to pack your hiking boots and strike out for a stroll on one of the winding walking routes that weave their way through this beautiful part of the country. Nature enthusiasts will also love the wildlife that is all around, from red squirrels and tawny owls to roe deer and eagles up above. The area also offers great days out including fishing trips, coastal walks or rounds of golf at nearby championship courses.
