Perfectly perched in the quaint village of West Chiltington, West Sussex, you will find Seven Vines. Named as such because of the seven vineyards within seven miles, this beautiful escape offers guests a getaway that is at once homely, elegant, and oozing with countryside charm. The house has retained many period features including charming, curved fireplaces, exposed timber beaming as well as original carpentry works, while its location means exploring the greater Sussex area is a doddle. Seven Vines sleeps a total of eight guests across five bedrooms (two more guests can be arranged at prior request), making it the perfect bolt hole for families, groups of friends or even company retreats.
All the rooms are spacious, bathed in natural light and tastefully decorated to the highest of standards. The ground floor houses all the communal areas. The main sitting room is a cosy, relaxing space, perfect for curling up in the evening in front of the Smart TV and getting a fire going. You will find a quiet family room on the same floor, which is perfect for a movie night, or even a spot of chess. Lastly, there is a separate triple aspect room featuring the long dining table that comfortably seats everybody, and the orangery - a bright and airy social space. A set of doors lead out onto the terrace, where you can sit on the outdoor furniture and dine al fresco as you take in the serenity of the spacious garden. Fancy getting a bit of grilling on the go? Then feel free to fire up the barbeque!
With its ample workspace and island bar, the countryside kitchen is a delight to cook in, or even just have a chat while somebody else does all the work! The bedrooms are upstairs, all well-proportioned and with comfy beds. The master bedroom features a king size bed, there are two rooms with zip and link beds (twins or doubles), a fourth room houses another double while a fifth room functions as a study. The sofa bed can be unfolded to accommodate a further two guests. There are two family bathrooms on the first floor too, each with a shower, bath, basin and WC. Finally, there is the TV loft room on the second floor. This cosy little attic 'den' has a TV and Xbox, ideal for an intimate movie night or even a games tournament.
West Chiltington is a charming Sussex village with the usual amenities. The local pub, The Five Bells, is a short walk from the house and serves local fare and fine ales. With seven vineyards in the vicinity - many offering tours and tastings - the locale is a wine lover's delight. If you fancy a spot of shopping or sight-seeing, the nearby towns of Petworth and Arundel come highly recommend. After something a bit slower paced? The surrounding countryside is replete with walking trails and you will be but a stone's throw from the South Downs National Park.
