Nestled amongst pretty farmland in the beautiful Cotswolds, this lovely apartment is perfect for those wishing to swap grey hard pavements for wildflower-walled footpaths and high-rise concrete blocks for trees, fields and uninterrupted views of acres of glorious countryside.
The magic of this special hideaway begins as guests access the studio via a secret garden which is filled with flowers, fruit trees and lawns and makes for relaxing, peaceful views. Entry is directly into the kitchen area, where guests can take in the character of the property. Ancient oak beams cross the vaulted ceiling which is inset with Velux windows bringing an abundance of natural light into this spacious studio. The kitchen is compact and has a modern farmhouse-style with all the contemporary appliances guests need for putting together tasty suppers and there's a dining table to enjoy lengthy breakfasts and plan the day ahead.
Immediately adjacent to the kitchen is the living area with an extremely inviting large comfy sofa, dressed with cosy cushions and sheepskin throws, it's a great spot to cuddle up and settle in for the night, maybe enjoying a movie on the flat screen television.
When bedtime beckons, the king-size bed, with its iron bedstead, deep mattress and cosy throws and blankets, guarantees a great night's sleep. And, in the morning, pull back the curtains on the patio doors to take in the views of the secret garden and beyond. Indulge in a lie in as the warm morning sun shines down and enjoy the birdsong as the natural world begins its day. Or head outside onto the private patio area with wooden seating and a table where visitors can relax and soak in the lovely surroundings. A large chest of drawers provides plenty of storage space and there a stylish bathroom with large fluffy towels and rainfall style shower.
There are hiking opportunities on the farm which as an abundance of animals including sheep, pigs, chickens and cows. The beautiful spa town Bath, great for shopping, history, architecture and sightseeing, is a short drive away - as is lovely Tetbury, where visitors can stock up on picnic goodies before hitting the walking trails. And the thriving city of Bristol is also well worth a visit!
For lovers of a nice meal and a good drink, the area is filled with archetypal English pubs. Try The Bull at Hinton, which does the best Sunday roast around, or wander over to nearby Burton to The Old House at Home for great beer in an old atmospheric pub.
