These modern lodges sits on a pleasant decked area and guests ascend a few easy steps before entering the property through impressive patio doors which lead directly into the stylish open-plan living space.
Footsteps fall on wooden floorboards and white-washed wooden panels cover the walls and ceilings throughout. This is a simple, uncluttered space which allows the magnificent floor to ceiling semi-circular windows to be shown off for maximum impact. And a large comfy, deep blue, velvet sofa begs for guests to rest travel-weary legs and take in the lovely views through the spectacular windows.
A smart and compact kitchen area sits discreetly to the side. Modern units make food preparation a breeze and there is a cute window above the sink, so visitors can make the most of the location, even when they're washing up! A handy breakfast bar and stools offer extra space for chopping and slicing, as well as a sociable area for enjoying meals or simply a drink and a chat. Alternatively, take supper outside. The deck area has an outdoor dining table and chairs, ideal for settling in on long summer evenings, or planning the day over coffee and pastries. And, relaxing after dinner couldn't be better than in the hot tub. After the sun sets be sure to turn on the fairy lights for added romantic ambiance.
When bedtime beckons, head back indoors where guests will find two good-sized bedrooms. The master has a double bed dressed with crisp linens. A yellow blanket adds a pop of colour to the neutral decor and, along with the electric radiators, keep the room cosy and warm. The second bedroom has bunk beds and a great big roof window where budding astronomers can star spot from the comfort of their bed. There is also a bathroom with a walk-in shower with plenty of hot water and fluffy towels.
The lodge offers a lovely spot to just hang out, but if people want to head out and explore then there is plenty to do in the immediate area. Shropshire has a strong industrial heritage and a visit to the famous Ironbridge Gorge is a popular day out. There are many museums along the River Severn which offer plenty of historical insight into the area's past. Or head to Hereford Cathedral where visitors will find many treasures including The Mappa Mundi. Hereford is also great for shopping and eating, try some of that famous beef at the Burger Shop by a Rule of Tum.

Leave a reviewThis is a splendid place to stay and I cannot recommend it too highly. Peaceful and quiet with stunning views. The accommodation was superb, simply designed but with really good attention to detail. Great value. The hosts, Frank and Sarah, could not have been more helpful. I will definitely be staying again.
