Many of the walking routes begin right from your door, however, you may also wish to venture slightly further afield in your car to try out some of the routes and trails across the border in Wales.
The nearest town of Montgomery is a beautiful Georgian market town that has a 13th Century castle. Here there is a small market square with independent shops, cafes and a brewery. The castle is free to look around and has beautiful views across the town. Another nearby town is Ludlow, which has a lively community and a number of cracking events and festivals throughout the year.
