Romilly is a gorgeous little bolthole on the ground level of a converted barn that is also home to Lucy, a two to four bed let that can be booked together should you wish to bring friends or family to this gorgeous part of Northumberland.
Romilly is open plan and bijou but uses the space so well it feels both spacious and cosy. Beautifully laid out it features a modern, fully equipped kitchen area where you can cook to your heart's delight and enjoy long lazy suppers at the wooden dining table for two.
On chilly nights you can light the wood burning stove and snuggle on the sofa with popcorn and a movie on the smart TV. Or, if it's a glorious summer evening, throw open the bi-fold doors and let the view be your entertainment. Take your drinks outside and sit surrounded by the quiet beauty of the endless green with the stars twinkling up above.
The bedroom next door is serene and welcoming with a super-king size bed adorned with crisp linens, which can be made into cosy twin beds if required. Be lulled into a peaceful night's slumber and waken to the sunshine and the view. The adjoining wet-room is a treat, so indulge in a long lazy shower and pamper yourself before heading into the garden with your first coffee of the day.
Romilly is perfectly placed to explore everything that Northumberland has to offer. Take a stroll and immerse yourself in nature. Walk around the Cheviots, a range of hills that are majestic to behold. Head over to the International Dark Sky Park and be mesmerised by the Linhope Spout, a stunning waterfall. Hedgeley Ponds are perfect for picnics and if castles are your thing, you're in for a treat because Northumberland is home to more castles than any other county in England.
In Alnwick town centre you'll find some perfect fish and chips at Carlo's, or if you fancy something a bit more elegant, Dunstanburgh Castle Hotel offers fine dining and fireplaces in a refined setting. However you choose to spend your day, at the end of it you can head back to Romilly and enjoy a drink beneath the stars or get cosy on the sofa with the wood burner crackling away.
