The details
This former shipping container has been lovingly converted to create a bespoke, high spec, relaxing retreat for two. Hidden amongst ancient trees and surrounded by bird song, it’s the perfect spot to recharge your batteries and reconnect with nature and each other.
The light and airy accommodation, with its white walls and beautiful parquet floor, is wonderfully uncluttered. The simple décor will help you unwind from the stresses of everyday life and the little touches of luxury will ensure a getaway to remember.
The welcoming living area cleverly brings the outdoors in, with faux plants adorning the walls to create a forest feel. Here you can relax on the plush velvet sofa, warm yourself in front of the wood burner or cosy up to watch your favourite programme on the widescreen TV. When you’re feeling hungry, the contemporary kitchenette, which houses a kettle, toaster, microwave and small fridge, is perfect for preparing a scrumptious snack or light bite.
Floor to ceiling double doors flood the living area with natural light and open out onto a private decked area. Here you’ll find a BBQ for cooking up a flame-grilled feast and a wooden table and chairs for outdoor eating on a warm day.
At the other end of the cabin is the open plan bedroom. This calming space boasts a comfy double bed with luxurious linen for the sweetest of slumbers. Floor-to-ceiling double doors from the bedroom open out onto a small garden with your very own private hot tub. With a backdrop of lush, green trees, it’s a tranquil spot to enjoy a relaxing soak and luxurious spa-style waffle robes are provided to keep you cosy afterwards. The cabin also has a hotel-style luxury bathroom with marble-effect walls and a double walk-in shower.
Reeves Retreat has private access to the surrounding woods where you can enjoy a nature walk or a pleasant stroll to the historic town of Battle, the site of the 1066 Battle of Hastings, which is just two miles away. Absolutely beautifully converted container. Such a clever and well thought out use of space. We loved the secluded hot tub area and the woodland setting. Very peaceful and perfect for a night away!

Very beautiful location with stunning woodland walks nearby. The stay itself was relaxing and the converted shipping container was beautifully renovated, it was very comfortable and private. Overall, a completely perfect getaway!!
