Penlea Retreat Shepherds Hut is set in its own large private garden which offers total peace and rural charm in the Cornish countryside. It is an extremely romantic retreat for couples during the summer and winter seasons, however, a short five minute walk will take you to a quaint, tidal beach and the pubs and restaurants in Polperro village.
Inside, there’s a lovely hand-made solid wood kitchen space for preparing that romantic meal for two, while outside a BBQ and a fire pit offer alternative ways to cook up your favourite flame grilled foods on a paved patio. An electric stove effect heater keeps you warm and cosy during cold nights, while an ensuite shower room allows you to easily wash away the sand from your toes after those sun-soaked days at the beach.
Lots of thought has gone into this shepherd's hut and throughout its layout, nothing is overlooked. A delectable double bed features unique storage for your belongings underneath, while a 25 inch wall-mounted Smart TV offers brilliant bedside viewing for binge watchers who simply want to ‘Netflix and chill’. A small wooden dining table and chairs offer enough space to eat and can be folded away after to create more living space.
Back outside, the hut also has its own private hot tub. This offers you and your loved one the perfect way to unwind with a glass of something delicious whilst taking in the views.
Nearby Polperro village is full of whitewashed cottages and quaint narrow lanes, which lead down to a working fishing harbour. Most of the local restaurants actually serve fish brought into the village from the boats, while others offer some of the finest freshly made pizzas available across the entire South East of Cornwall. For those who prefer traditional pub grub and a pint or two, Polperro boasts some incredible pubs steeped in smuggling history, with many featuring architecture dating back to the early 1800s.

Prices are per night and the examples below are based on a four night stay. For shorter stays the price will be slightly higher and for longer stays slightly lower.
October - April: From £130 per night excluding Christmas and New Year.
May, June, September, October: From £145 per night.
July, Aug: From £155 per night.
