Experience the beauty, tranquility and wildlife of the Swedish pine forest from the luxury and comfort of one of two quirky and unique glamping pods.
Supermåne (Swedish for supermoon) is a large red moon suspended three metres above the forest floor. This airborne experience allows guests views beneath them of the moose as they graze and upwards towards the stars and the spectacular northern lights. The treehouse, accessed via a sturdy set of steps, hangs between two trees and is suspended by cables with high tensile strength so guests rest assured they can safely enjoy the comfort and romance of their pod.
Canvas covered, it is completely insulated with underfloor heating and a wood burning stove which offers more heating, as well as contributing to that cosy romantic atmosphere. A double bed with a soft foam mattress makes for a great night's sleep amongst the trees. And a single bed, which folds up during the day, allows a younger child to enjoy the experience too.
During the colder months, guests can enjoy the facilities of the Hölada, a self-catering cabin a few minutes from Supermåne.
For larger groups, or those who prefer to keep their feet on the ground, the Oddis Öga is an alternative, but equally memorable pod, which resembles part spaceship and part aeroplane part. Situated amongst the trees, it overlooks a meadow where a multitude of wildlife can be regularly spotted grazing, from elk and foxes to lynx and deer. A shiny exterior reflects the beautiful surroundings and pretty carved wooden doorway welcomes guests into their cosy home.
Inside, there is a double bed and a set of bunks, the double converts into useful bench seats and a table during the daytime and is situated by a beautiful large window which offers lovely views through the trees. Underfloor heating and a wood burning stove keep the pod cosy all year round while a handy stove-top kettle will help keep the mugs of tea flowing.
Both pods are situated on the farmland of Nasets Marcusgard The farm owners have done their utmost to provide guests with a range of experiences for all ages and preferences that will ensure they get the very most from their time at the farm. During the summer guests make use of a kitchen (open kitchen under roof, self catering) and bathroom facilities (with private toilet and shower).
From dogsledding to cinnamon bun baking, cross country skiing to forest bathing, there is really is something for all. Beyond the farm, the region of Dalarna is a beautiful spot to explore. There are some great restaurants nearby including Solgårdskrogen in Nittsjö, Smidgården in Fryksås and Sjovillan in Rattvik which is situated at the end of the longest pier in Sweden.
