Set in the midst of the Cumbrian Fells of the Lake District, Wellington Farm’s glamping pods have panoramic views and their own private hot tubs. These cosy pods have beautiful wooden tiles on the exterior, helping them blend into the natural surroundings and are well insulated, keeping you warm and comfy whatever the weather. The interiors are open plan, creating a sense of space, and have everything you’ll need for a relaxing trip to the Lake District.
The clever, compact kitchen is equipped with all the basics to whip up delicious meals, including a fridge-freezer, electric hob, microwave, kettle and toaster. Enjoy your meals indoors at the table, or head outside to your private patio on sunny days. In the living area, you’ll find a comfy sofa where you can sit back and relax in front of a film on the Smart TV or with a book after a long walk in the Fells. This converts into a bed suitable for one adult or two small children.
The bedroom area is tucked away beside the bathroom and features a double bed made up with crisp fresh bed linen, a cosy duvet and soft pillows. You’ll find some luxury toiletries in the bathroom along with fluffy towels and bathrobes for relaxing in after a refreshing shower.
Outside, the pods have a small covered porch area and a private patio. Enjoy a sunny afternoon cooking up a feast on the barbecue or reading a book while relaxing on one of the comfy outdoor armchairs. After a long day walking in the Lake District, sitting back in your own private hot tub, perhaps with a cold drink in hand and watching the sunset over the surrounding Fells is a real treat.
As well as being a haven for keen walkers and outdoor enthusiasts, there are plenty of other things to do in the local area. There are activities available on the farm itself, such as horse riding, meeting some of the animals, exploring the pretty woodlands or trying out the air rifle shooting range. Just a short walk from the farm, you’ll find Dubbs Moss Wildlife Reserve, a diverse habitat full of fascinating flora and fauna. Visit the Lakes Distillery for a guided tour learning about how whisky and gin are made or head to one of the many beautiful lakes for a bracing wild swim or to try one of the many watersports on offer.

Leave a reviewAbsolutely amazing stay! Enjoyed every minute of it. Couldn’t of asked for any more. Gorgeous view - very very clean, complimentary basket and amazing service. Hot tub was immaculate and checked daily! Easy to get to town centre from the farm short drive or nice walk weather dependent. Would highly recommend and will definitely be booking again!

I'm so sad to be going home! The pods are stunning. The views are stunning. Leigh the owner was brilliant making sure the hot tub was okay for us twice daily. It's immaculately clean. I'll be going back for sure!
