The detail

Lavender is part of Blossom Farm Cottages, a small selection of lovely quiet accommodation options that offer access to acres of landscaped gardens, wild meadows and pretty lakes. Guests will love staying in this peaceful slice of nature that's home to a wide array of wildlife and birds. The site is also home to lots of great spots for picnics and designated areas for BBQs where you can spend the evening stargazing around a fire pit.

Lavender has charm to spare. The open plan living, kitchen and dining area is a cosy welcoming hub with red brick walls, oak beams, slate floors and comfy leather sofas in front of the TV. There's a big chunky wooden farm-style table where you can settle in for a long lazy dinner, prepared in the fully equipped kitchen area, with plenty of wine. It feels rustic and warm and would be ideal for a couples holiday, a small family or friends wanting to chill and get away from it all.

The corridors are plaster white and there are lovely dots of colour in ornaments, side-tables and drawers. The décor throughout is delightful with some interesting lamps and eccentric little flourishes.

The property is all on one floor and when it's time for bed you have two lovely rooms to choose from. The main room has a super-king size bed, a comfy sofa where you can settle in with a good book and an ensuite wet room with a toilet. This room is modern and decorated with a touch of style that's evident throughout the whole property.

The second room has superior twins and is equally pleasantly decorated. This room is also situated next to the main bathroom/wet room with warm tiled walls, a loo and bidet. The whole cottage has underfloor heating to keep your toes nice and toasty!

In the morning enjoy a bracing shower and head down to the living area for that first coffee of the day. Maybe take it out on to the large terrace where you can enjoy the morning sunshine and bird song. The terrace is somewhat of a feature being both partially enclosed and in possession of a pretty fabulous jacuzzi hot tub where you can bob away the evening in privacy after a day at the beach.

Pembrokeshire has a lot to offer, not least of which is its brilliant beaches - there are over 50! 11 are Blue Flag Beaches and Tenby's Harbour has been voted the best in Europe. It is also home to the only UK coastal National Park with 186 miles of spectacular coastline.

If you fancy fish and chips after a day out you can't do better than Marble Hall Chippie just under three miles away, and if you're in the mood for something more formal try The Cookhouse only two miles away. But if you just want some peace and quiet, buy some BBQ goodies and settle in one of the designated areas for a cosy evening with loved ones.
