Nestled amongst the trees, on the foreshore of the picturesque Salcombe and Kingsbridge estuary, this stunning, wooden-clad, newly-built boathouse is the ideal place to retreat and enjoy the spectacular waterways of South Devon.
Guests experience the magic of this wonderful location from the moment they leave the designated parking spot and take the short stroll along the path, through the trees, to this lovely property. Enter directly into the first floor level and prepare for the jaw-dropping panoramic vista on display through the wall of glass doors which dominate one side of the stylish open plan living and dining area.
Pull open the bifold doors and step onto the spacious terrace, take in the clean air and enjoy the sounds of estuary life, from the the wading birds searching for morsels to the sailing boats as they pootle on by. On warm, sunny days enjoy a morning coffee while bathing in the sunlight and finish the day with sundowners before dinner.
This beautiful property in this stunning location can be enjoyed at all times of the year. When the air turns chilly, or should a squall blow in, hunker down on the velvet sofa by the wood burning fire, while watching the dramatic skies.
The compact and stylish kitchen is well-equipped for creating romantic suppers which can be devoured at the cute wooden dining table on the stunning terrace or why not take a picnic rug and tuck into meals on the shoreline?
At the end of the long, relaxing days, dipping toes, sandy strolls and exploring nearby Salcombe, head to the the luxurious ground floor bedroom. This spectacular room has a large window which offers more panoramic views across the water. Wake to the sounds of the river bank, pull up the black out blinds and enjoy morning tea taking in the fabulous surroundings from the comfort of the opulent super-king size bed.
The ensuite bedroom has its own bathtub where guests can truly relax and enjoy that spectacular vista while soaking amongst the suds.
Horsepool Boathouse's location makes it a fabulous destination for exploring the creeks and waterways of the South Hams. Paddle over to lovely Salcombe for shopping and eating out, enjoy wild swims or kick off the shoes and take romantic shoreline strolls along the bank of the estuary. Pack a picnic and enjoy days exploring, or head to Millbrook Inn or Port Waterhouse for BBQs and music.
