  The Detail...

The Grooms House is a fantastic bolthole in the beautiful county of Cornwall. Located on the luxurious country manor of Boconnoc Estate, this rural retreat perfectly blends traditional charm with modern luxury after a renovation maintaining the original nooks and crannies.

This marvellous house sleeps up to six guests in three en-suite bedrooms. There is a double and two twins, all of which are decorated and furnished in a classy, country style. The social heart of the holiday home is the open-plan kitchen and living room. Two large and comfy sofas sit opposite each other under the beamed ceiling, while a window seat enjoys views over the churchyard. There is also a dining room table and chairs seating up to six people, whilst the well equipped kitchen means you'll find preparing meals a breeze.

Situated in the Stable Yard area of the estate, there is outdoor furniture for enjoying a morning coffee, evening drink, or alfresco meal, as well as plenty of space to explore. Take a leisurely stroll through the parklands, admire the beautiful flowers in Boconnocs gardens, or enjoy a picnic or barbecue down by the lake.

There are a number of activities and events taking place at Boconnoc throughout the year. Whether its a meditation or yoga retreat, or a wedding or steam fair, the property is the ideal place to use as a base while taking part.

Situated in Lostwithiel, there is also plenty to do nearby for those who wish to venture out. It has easy access to both the north and south coasts of Cornwall and their stunning beaches, as well as walks on the moors and in the countryside. The town itself is full of narrow streets and stone cottages, as well as restaurants, pubs, and independent shops. For history lovers, the 13th Century Restormel Castle is just a mile outside Lostwithiel and has fantastic views across the valley, while just a little further again is the Eden Project. The famous biodomes is home to the largest indoor rainforest in the world.
