Greys is a luxurious holiday home located in the popular East Devon village of Lympstone. Designed by an award-winning architect and interior designer, the newly completed property really is a sight to behold. It boasts stunning architecture and clean, modern interiors, with lots of space for relaxation. The house also offers beautiful views past Powderham Castle, over the River Exe and out to the surrounding countryside.
The property is designed ‘upside down’ with bedrooms on the ground floor and living areas upstairs to make full use of the far-reaching vistas. The three bedrooms consist of a primary suite with king size bed, dressing area and ensuite bathroom and two additional double rooms, one of which can be set up as two singles on request. Each bedroom has been beautifully furnished with plenty of storage space and direct access to the garden. The ground floor also has a deluxe shared bathroom with a striking freestanding bath and a separate shower. Practicalities are answered for with a utility room and a cupboard for coats and boots.
The first floor is where you’ll find the gorgeous open-plan living space with two seating areas that both offer the perfect spot to socialise with your loved ones long into the night. The open-plan space is also home to the kitchen and dining area. Large sliding doors flood the room with natural light and can be opened out onto the spacious terrace, where guests can relax on outdoor sofas and take in the views. Like to cook? You’ll love the kitchen, kitted out with state-of-the-art appliances, cookware, gadgets and a large larder stocked full of supplies.
The first floor also has a separate cinema room with comfy seating and a 65-inch smart TV, ideal for cosy nights in, watching a movie or binging the latest Netflix series (this room doubles as a dedicated workspace). Don’t worry about buffering, the home is connected with super-fast fibre broadband.
The landscaped garden and patio are just as impressive as the rest of the home. Perfect for alfresco living in the warmer months, you’ll find a BBQ, fridge and outdoor dining area, as well as a large lawn for garden games, picnics and sunbathing.
The house couldn’t be better located as a base to discover Lympstone. A short stroll down cobbled streets leads to the picturesque harbour, and on the way, you can admire the fascinating architecture or stop off at one of the warm and welcoming pubs. There are also some excellent restaurants, cafes and a local shop where you can stock up on holiday supplies. The location offers great access to both the waterfront and the countryside, ideal for trying out some watersports or exploring the many scenic footpaths and cycle trails.
