Fyne Byre Cottage is a barn conversion located near the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. This beautiful building was once part of the dairy farm which was home to cows and the Clydesdale horses that pulled the milk floats around the village. The cottage is now next door to the working farm and surrounded by beautiful scenery, farm animals and the local wildlife. Sleeping up to seven across three bedrooms, this is a peaceful rural escape for families or groups of friends looking to switch off and recharge amidst stunning surroundings.
Enter the cottage through the sunroom which leads to the large, open-plan living, dining and kitchen area. This space immediately has a cosy country cottage feel with a big wooden dining table and a huge sofa set in front of a wood burner. The kitchen is well-equipped with a big range cooker and all the equipment you’ll need to cook up hearty meals after long walks in the Highlands.
There are three bedrooms in total, one double and two rooms that can sleep up to three guests. The double bedroom features a beautiful wrought iron Victorian bed. Another of the rooms has a bespoke double bed with steps leading up to a single bed above. The final bedroom has a made-to-measure super king-size bed with a pull-out bed below suitable for a child. There are two bathrooms, one featuring a luxurious roll-top bathtub and the other a large walk-in shower and the charming detail of a washbasin set into an old barrel.
At the front of the cottage there’s an outdoor space with a seating area, a fire pit and a built-in barbecue. There’s also a secluded garden area to the rear which has further seating and some stunning views out over the surrounding landscape.
Fyne Byre Cottage is set in a beautiful part of the Scottish Highlands near the Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park. This is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts with endless opportunities for walking and hiking, cycling, climbing and kayaking to name a few of the activities on offer. Go for a cruise on a loch on a historic steamboat or learn about some of the local wildlife at the Bird of Prey Centre or the Sea Life Centre.
