Coco's Barn is a former hay barn which has been transformed into a modern and stylish place to relax that's full of character and features all the contemporary touches required for a relaxing holiday. This beautifully designed bolthole offers couples a luxurious and cosy stay away from the hustle and bustle of life, moments from gorgeous Mendip Hills, and with plenty of fabulous eateries for romantic meals out.
The downstairs space is open plan and guests can head straight to the lovely kitchen, with solid wooden countertops and stylish shelves, to pop the kettle on. Once tea is made, groceries are stashed in the spacious cupboards and wine placed to chill in the fridge, head to the large comfy sofas and take in the surroundings while resting from long travels.
Directly opposite the sofa, large patio doors open out onto the pretty outdoor area. This paved garden is surrounded by gorgeous boarders filled with colourful plants and foliage. Two large, soft-cushioned outdoor sofas and a dining table make this the place to enjoy the summer sun. A fire pit is ready to be fired-up for romantic evenings cuddling under the starry night sky.
On cooler days, curl up on the sofa, watch a movie or read a book and hunker in. The lovely kitchen is suitably equipped for making romantic suppers and a cute circular dining table is ready for the candles and champagne.
When bedtime calls, head up to the eaves where guests will no doubt enjoy a thoroughly restful sleep on the quality mattress, snuggled in between the crisp linens and thick duvet. In the morning, enjoy a coffee in bed while listening to the birdsong before starting the day with an invigorating shower in the ensuite wet room.
Couples may be forgiven for never leaving this laid back location, chilling in the pretty garden or curling up on the sofa with a good book, but Coco's Barn is well-located with plenty to discover nearby. Romantics can take a trip to Bath, a favoured location for Jane Austen, and also famed for its Roman history. Food lovers are spoilt for chose with many great restaurants and pubs in the area. The Newt in Somerset, Talbot Inn at Mells and Roth's Bar and Grill at Hauser & Wirth all come well-recommended.
