Surrounded by rolling green fields and pockets of thick woodland, Cedar at Strawberry Skys occupies a stunning spot in the Welsh countryside - where children can play, dogs can run and adults can relax and breath in the fresh air.
This lovely yurt is constructed from wood which gives it a solid, homely feel. The timber floors and walls have been left exposed and the ceiling planks overlap to create an attractive circular roof. The good-sized living room has bright furnishings, from the colourful rug to the green of the fire place. A large sofa and comfy armchairs offer guests a relaxing living space to unwind in and the cosy wood burner ensures the yurt is snug throughout the winter and on chilly autumn nights.
At bedtime, guests will be enchanted by the pretty metal bedstead and comfy large double mattress which is dressed with good quality cotton bedding and warm duvets and blankets. Pretty fairy lights hang overhead to provide illumination and create a magical atmosphere in this cosy sleeping area. Two futon chairs are easily converted to beds to accommodate younger guests.
At the front of the yurt, visitors will love to sit and read, chat and daydream on the large wooden verandah. Wicker armchairs and a small table make it a great option for late drinks into the night after little ones have bedded down for the evening.
Cedar Yurt is positioned in a picturesque slice of countryside with a picnic table, barbecue and firepit for seemingly endless days cooking al fresco and toasting marshmallows under star strewn skies. At the end of the paddock, guests will find their own private toilet and shower room where they can wash under oodles of hot water from the electric shower - there is even a heated towel rail, large mirror and hairdryer too.
The yurt has electricity and a kettle is provided (essential for that first brew of the day). At mealtimes, guests head to the large communal kitchen where they find everything they could need for preparing family meals. As well as gas hobs and an electric oven, there is a brick barbecue, pizza oven and a large covered refectory table where they can break bread with fellow glampers.
Guests would be forgiven for never leaving this lovely setting but just a short walk over the fields are the lovely pubs, cafes and stores at Llanfair Caereinion. For great seafood, The Saltmarsh Kitchen at Tywyn is highly recommended. There are many breathtaking hiking and biking trails which guests can explore just moments from the yurt door.
