Peeking through the treetops, towards the sea, above the town of Sayulita, is a well kept secret. As far as secrets go, this is a juicy one: a beautiful, luxurious, perfectly kept secret and its name is Casa Saturno.
Casa Saturno is a large, exotic villa that can sleep up to 11 in pure luxury. Offering perfect views of the pacific ocean and surrounding countryside, this is the perfect place for you and a group of friends or family to get away from it all and feel a little bit like movie stars (just check out the pictures!).
Outdoor living will be high on your list of priorities here as the property offers a beautiful outdoor kitchen and living room. Relax on big sofas, surrounded by palm trees and the chirping of local birds and insects. Don't move a muscle as the sun sets and the air turns pink in the dusk (someone else can grab you a glass of wine, right?) afterwards, meander over to the stylish al fresco kitchen where your friends and family can prepare a meal together, or, if you wish, hire a chef to do it for you while you take a dip in the gorgeous infinity pool.
The outdoor area is thoughtfully set out into terraces, so members of your group can get away to their own private section of bliss. The pool is tempting- not just to cool off in, but for more of those views!
You know how the story usually goes when you're on holiday in a large group- who gets the best bedroom? All of that is happily eliminated here, as honestly, you won't know which room to pick. Each comes with its own bathroom and its own stunning views of the surrounding area. The architect designed this building so that each occupant gets an equally gorgeous slice of the surrounding vista- no one is missing out. What's more is that all of the bedrooms come with sliding doors so you can extend your views and enjoy the best stargazing before bedtime.
Casa Saturno couldn't be better placed. The cool town of Sayulita, which the villa overlooks, is a vibrant and colourful little place, where everything is easily reached but there is so much to explore. The brightly painted buildings of the town contain everything from fine dining restaurants, to surf shops and authentic boutiques. There's some great taco stands and there's a farmer's market every Friday. Learn to surf down at the long, fine sandy beach and then cool off with a cocktail at a nearby bar.
There's jungle trekking and mountain biking available for those who can't, or won't, sit still, but for the less adventurous, check out one of the local galleries or maybe drop into San Pancho, a ten minute drive away, for its peaceful lagoon and ample bird watching opportunities. For more of a buzz, take a drive to Puerto Vallarta, a thriving Mexican city, for shopping, eating, drinking and a culture hit.
