The detail

Casa Mana is a renovated farmhouse, set amongst four hectares of organic land in central Mallorca. The hosts have breathed new life into the 110-year old property, creating the perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. The home is surrounded by lush gardens full of olive and fruit trees – which guests are encouraged to pick from – and overlooks the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range, a UNESCO world heritage site. As well as the stunning home, the stay includes lots of outdoor space and a large swimming pool, perfect for cooling down after soaking up some Spanish sunshine.

The villa has been refurbished with the planet in mind, using eco-friendly and locally sourced materials. It is powered by solar panels and water from the kitchen is filtered from its own well. The interiors have a slick and stylish feel, yet original features such as stonework, beams and floors have been restored. For guests’ comfort, the home is fully air-conditioned and features all the contemporary amenities you could need for the perfect stay.

Casa Mana is spread across two floors. On the ground floor are the grand entrance hall and two spacious living areas, one of which used to be the farmhouse’s horse stable, characterised by the century-old cobbled walls and floors. Guests can use the home’s state-of-the-art kitchen to cook up a storm and then dine alfresco on the terrace with gorgeous vistas of the garden and distant mountains. The first of the four bedrooms is also situated on the ground floor, a spacious double with an ensuite bathroom.

The other three bedrooms are found upstairs. They include a master with its ensuite bathroom and two double bedrooms which share a bathroom. Each room has its own unique style and character, which ties in with the home’s modern Mallorquín aesthetic. Outside the home is a piece of paradise. You’ll have access to your own 15-metre swimming pool, sun loungers with rustic umbrellas and a BBQ area where you can grill up a feast. There’s also a shaded seating area, the ideal spot for relaxing and taking in the idyllic surroundings.

The villa is around three kilometres from the charming town of Binissalem, which lies at the heart of the island’s wine region. It is home to many excellent bars and restaurants, serving up the finest local wine. You’ll also be just a half hour’s drive away from the vibrant city of Palma, where you’ll find everything from golden sandy beaches to bustling markets and, of course, the breathtaking cathedral.
