  The Detail...

A gorgeous, comfy log cabin in the woods, this holiday home offers small groups of friends and family an idyllic place to stay in the Scottish Highlands. Sleeping up to six guests in two comfy bedrooms, Caledonian Cabin is a beautiful structure that was hand made using Western Red Cedar logs that were all felled, hand peeled and crafted by The Timber Kings (as seen on TV!) in British Colombia, Canada. Highly skilled local craftsmen then completed the project, finishing the cabin to the highest possible standard.

Relax and socialise together in the cosy lounge, which has a large leather and tweed sofa, as well as a games table, and a furry bean bag. You can light up the log burner to stay nice and warm in winter, whilst enjoying a movie on the TV which comes with Sky and a DVD player. You'll be pleased to know that the entire ground floor benefits from underfloor heating, which through the colder months maintains the cabin at a very comfortable temperature. The living room really is a fab space that you can enjoy with your loved ones, and has patio doors that provide you with access to the deck.

Outside, the cabin is flanked on three sides by a cedar deck that offers delightful views of your lovely woodland surroundings. This is a great spot for some al fresco socialising in summer and has a large gas BBQ, a pizza oven, tables and chairs, plus two steamer deckchairs. You can also relax in style in the hot tub, which offers great woodland views and an added slice of luxury to your stay. There's also a fire pit outside, where you can sit and stay toasty whilst gazing at the stars up above.

Back inside, the cabin has two fantastic bedrooms. The master bedroom sits on the ground floor and sleeps two in a sumptuous king size bed. The room has patio doors onto the deck and overlooks the loch and woods. The master has a spacious en-suite wet room featuring double rock hand basins, a large walk in shower, and a door which gives access to the hot tub deck. The other four guests can sleep in the gallery area, which features twin beds that can be made up as a super king, and an additional sofa bed which can sleep two. The shared bathroom has an oval bathtub that overlooks the woodlands meaning you can take in the view whilst having a soak.

The kitchen is nicely equipped with all the amenities you'll need during your stay, and there's also a ground floor utility room that has another sink and a washing machine. This then leads to another wet room and toilet which is suitable for people with reduced mobility.

The cabin sits amongst the spectacular Highland mountains, amidst magical moorland and ancient lochs. You have some of the UK's most rugged and beautiful scenery all around with wild landscapes everywhere you look. Take your hiking boots and venture out to explore this wonderful part of Scotland. Loch Garry is nearby and offers a peaceful spot where you can relax and enjoy your surroundings. There are two canoes and two paddle boards at the loch along with a rowing boat and sufficient lifejackets, so feel free to get out on the water and enjoy yourself.
