This grand apartment located in a quiet part of Venice’s Cannaregio district is perfect for a family or group of friends looking to explore this stunning city. Named after the wisteria that winds its way over the terrace, the apartment has a traditional feel combined with a contemporary kitchen and bathrooms. Start your days with a coffee on the terrace, enjoying the calm of the quiet neighborhood before heading out into the city to soak up the atmosphere. The Fondamente Nuove stop is nearby, perfect for public or private boat services and for heading off on a tour of the islands of Murano and Burano.

The apartment has recently been restored but retains much of its Venetian character with its high, decorative ceilings, antique furnishings and the grand dining room as its central point. You’ll find the six spacious double bedrooms leading off from the dining room, each with unique furnishings and some with impressive paintings giving them their own character. They all have access to their own bathrooms and have big windows, letting in plenty of natural light.

The kitchen is fully equipped, perfect for rustling up breakfast before you head out for the day or for cooking lunches and dinners if you fancy a meal in. There’s a big table in the huge dining room with plenty of space for everyone or a table in the kitchen for more relaxed meals. You can also take your meals outside to the terrace, which is accessed through the living room. Out on the terrace you’ll find yourself in a peaceful corner of Venice surrounded by the surrounding buildings with their rooftops and colourful shutters. The wisteria provides a bit of shade on sunny days and there are two small tables and some chairs, making it a lovely spot for a coffee in the morning or an aperitivo in the evening.

The apartment is located in the Cannaregio district in the northeastern part of the city with plenty of Venetian history and culture on your doorstep. Go for a stroll along the Fondamenta della Misericordia, which you’ll find lined with tapas restaurants and bars serving up local wine. Discover the beautiful Church of Madonna dell’Orto with impressive paintings by Tintoretto, who is also buried there. Stroll across bridges and along pretty canals and venture into Europe’s oldest Jewish Ghetto with synagogues and museums to visit. It’s also just a short boat ride away to the island of Murano, renowned for its glass blowing and Burano with its colourful houses.
