Between Hereford and Worcester, with views of the Malverns, Brook House Woods are the home of these very special tree cabins. The perfect place to get back to nature, the peaceful cabins are located in a secluded spot among oaks and ash trees, and look out across the Frome Valley.
Constructed using local wood, the Brook House Tree Cabins are kept warm with sheep wool insulation and have a log-burning stove. On the veranda, you will find a barbecue too, but if you would prefer not to cook, you can even get your meals delivered from a local caterer.
The impressive interior also includes a bathroom, complemented by a roll-top bath on the veranda. You have a seating area and double bed, as well as a small kitchen with a fridge, sink and kettle. Original cabin Walden has been so popular, he has now been joined by a second named Humboldt – whichever you choose you will enjoy the same home comforts.
There are fine walks to be had around the woods, or you can stop by the Brook House woodworking studio and try your hand at crafting something. Some great pubs are also within reasonable walking distance, serving up the kind of hearty food and local ales you’ll be looking for.
Pretty market town Bromyard is just a few miles away, proudly full of independent shops and cafés. It is known as the ‘Town of Festivals’ as all sorts of events take place throughout the year, including the Bromyard Folk Festival.
It’s also a great place for foodies, with the likes of Legges offering the best of the region, from pies and cheese to cider and gin. On the subject of food, breakfast hampers can be delivered to your door at the Brook House Tree Cabins. You can even get a pizza to cook on site in the barrel oven.
Peaceful riverside town Tenbury Wells lies around ten miles north, and both Hereford and Worcester are within a 30-minute drive. You won’t need to go that far to wander the pleasant Malvern Hills or take a dip in the often deserted Bodenham Lake.
