Situated in the dreamy Carbis Bay, a mile from St Ives and with enviable proximity to the stunning beaches the area is known for, Brook Cottage is a spacious and lovingly renovated holiday cottage, ideal for groups of up to five guests. Decorated throughout with neutral colours and timeless, elegant furniture, Brook Cottage offers anything that larger families or friend groups could possibly hope for in a comfortable, coastal cottage for mini-breaks and longer stays.
The cottage itself is set in a leafy, tranquil location, and has its own abundant outside space. Inside, you'll find a charming fitted kitchen which combines historic elegance with slick contemporary appliances.
Whether you're whipping up a cooked breakfast for five hungry swimmers or preparing a celebratory meal using local seafood, you're bound to find cooking in this light-filled space a real treat.
The kitchen is arranged in the open-plan, multi-purpose living space, which includes a dedicated dining area. Whatever the season, this central family room is the perfect spot to congregate at the end of the day and catch up together, either watching a movie as a group or simply sharing a bottle of Cornish wine and chatting.
Via the wooden stairs from the main space, head up to the main bedroom, with its timber balcony overlooking the garden, and the versatile second bedroom, which can be set up with either twin singles or a king size bed. Both of these rooms share a full bathroom, while the single bedroom on the ground floor has an ensuite loo.
As well as the dreamy upstairs balcony, the property benefits from a downstairs garden. In the warmer months, cook outside over the BBQ and enjoy an alfresco meal at the outdoor dining table. In the garden, you'll find a freestanding games room with table football, a dart board and table tennis, perfect for rainy days and youngsters of all ages. In the same room there are full laundry facilities.
This area of Cornwall has long been celebrated for its charming architecture, stunning coastline and laid-back, friendly inhabitants. From the nearby Tate St Ives and Barbara Hepworth house and gardens to Porthminster Beach Cafe, there are numerous nationally celebrated attractions for anybody interested in food, wine, shopping and art. As well as dozens of tiny galleries and artist studios, there are fantastic eateries, and of course the miles of unspoiled coastline for swimming, sunbathing, kayaking and fishing.
