Breaday Gill cottage has been converted from a traditional stone farm building, where comfort and style have both been equally and carefully considered. Lovingly designed by its owners, this luxury lodge delivers a delicate blend of elegant modernity and rural charm. Its perfect location makes it the ideal base to explore the breathtaking North York Moors National Park, and the seemingly untouched picturesque beaches of the Yorkshire coast. Inside you will enjoy a gorgeous mix of modern and mid-century décor, with some elegant antique furniture to round things off. The cottage comes with polished concrete floors throughout (with underfloor heating), accompanied by original timber framing which serves to seamlessly bring together a hybrid style, ensuring this historic cottage doesn't betray its rustic roots. The homely, yet sleek, open planned living space is complete with a well-equipped bespoke solid oak kitchen, a fabulous dining area with a six seat rosewood table, and a luxurious lounge with a luxuriant corner couch and log burner.
The first bedroom contains an opulent super king Molteni bed finished with the finest cotton bedding, ideal for drifting off after a long day exploring the spectacular Yorkshire countryside. Bedroom number two is of a similar size and can be arranged either as a super king, or with two twin beds. Both bedrooms are adjoined by their own large marble tiled en-suites, each with a bath and shower. Some toiletries are also provided.
The North York Moors National Park is a large area of outstanding natural beauty, ideal for the nature lover who enjoys nothing more than exploring the great outdoors. Nearby you will find North Riding Forest Park, known for its various hikes, dense woodland, and abundant wildlife. For a taste of urban life, the seaside resort town of Scarborough is a quick 15 minute drive, or you can venture a little further north and explore picturesque Robin Hood's Bay or the historic maritime town of Whitby, to name but a few.
