Situated on the edge of the scenic Upper Loch Torridon, this marvellous and grand home offers large groups a delightful stay with incredible views. Sleeping up to 12 guests, this architect-designed home hugs the landscape and is ideal for your next break with friends and family. The house is clad in estate-grown native larch and Nordic eco steel, with the main living area framed in Scottish Douglas Fir.
Inside, the home has beautiful decor and a grand living space with huge high ceilings and plenty of natural light. Enjoy an afternoon relaxing by the fire catching up with loved ones as you gaze out at the striking loch views. The main living space is sprawling and designed for group gatherings, whilst other, cosier spaces ensure you can pop off on your own and unwind in peace if needed. Then, when tummies rumble, whip up a feast for your entire group in the superbly equipped kitchen, before dining together on the grand dining table that sits beneath the marvellous high beamed ceiling.
On warmer days you can head outside and breathe in the fresh sea air as you enjoy an evening tipple in the sunshine. Soak in your surroundings here gazing across the water before hopping into your private hot tub and enjoy an indulgent soak with a glass of bubbles.
When your eyes grow weary, you can head to one of the four lovely bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms offer double beds and the other two can either be arranged as a triple or a double and a single. All four bedrooms are ensuite, for added privacy, whilst one offers a free-standing bathtub in front of a giant window so you can enjoy a relaxing soak with a view. And, if needed, an additional two guests can be accommodated on a sofa bed in the mezzanine.
The house is designed for a low carbon footprint, with high insulation, solar power and a ground source heat pump. Natural materials like local stone, slate and estate-grown Douglas Fir feature throughout, blending indoors with nature. Modern comforts are paired with vintage and antique pieces wherever possible.
The local area offers a wide range of outdoor activities for all interests and abilities. Enjoy scenic walking trails, mountain biking routes, climbing spots, kayaking adventures and wild swimming in nearby lochs and rivers. For those interested in country sports, opportunities for stalking, shooting and fishing are also available. Of course, you might prefer to simply stay at home and relax, soaking in the spectacular views over Upper Loch Torridon and the dramatic mountain landscapes that stretch out beyond.
