Set in the heart of the Scottish countryside in the forest of Killiecrankie, this stylish house has been designed to complement its beautiful natural surroundings. The stone walls and timber details help the contemporary building sit unobtrusively amongst the trees while these earthy tones are continued inside, creating a relaxing atmosphere. The huge open plan living space is perfect for entertaining and every room features doors that lead straight into the garden. Enjoy the sounds of the stream from the comfort of your bed or step straight from your bedroom into the garden for a dip in the wood fired hot tub.
The open plan living space is the social hub of the house and plenty of natural light filters past the surrounding trees and through enormous windows. A large corner sofa faces bifold doors so you can all put your feet up and enjoy the view after a busy day exploring. There’s another sofa area with a stylish fireplace and a huge TV, perfect for cosy evenings in.
The large dining table is set in front of two sets of bi-fold doors so you can open up the space to the outdoors on warm days and enjoy the view whatever the weather. The kitchen is conveniently placed just across from the dining table with a whole range of appliances at your disposal, including a wine fridge, induction hob and a coffee maker.
There are three bedrooms, all with king or super-king size beds with tall, velvet headboards adding to the sense of luxury. They all have their own patio doors and have been individually styled using the same calming colour palette as the rest of the interior. The main bedroom has an ensuite shower room and there is another shower room between the other two bedrooms. If you need a bit of extra sleeping space, there’s a TV room which has a comfy double sofa bed with a third shower room located next door.
The beautifully designed garden will tempt you outside from every room in the house with lots of bi-fold and patio doors allowing you to make the most of the surroundings. Water features flow through rugged rock formations and the planting mirrors the natural landscape around the house. There’s a BBQ area and a boulder fire pit so you can stay out long after the sun sets. In the evenings, cleverly positioned lighting amongst the rocks and plants creates the perfect atmosphere for a session in the hot tub.
