Set on an idyllic Gloucestershire farm just south of the gorgeous Cotswolds, this luxury apartment for two offers couples a cosy bolthole to escape the noise of daily life and retreat to the glorious countryside. With interiors that blend traditional farmhouse character with modern style, Barn End at Woodcock Farm is a true home-from-home, allowing guests to indulge in laid back country life and just relax. No matter the time of year, visitors to the farm will feel nice and comfy thanks to the woodburning stove and cuddly sofa in the living area. And during summer months, the large glass doors that open out onto the garden will bring in some welcomed fresh air. With easy access to the delights of the Cotswolds, as well as being a short drive away from the cosmopolitan and historic cities of Bristol and Bath, there is so much to do in the local area.
The apartment benefits from a convenient open-plan living space, comprised of a fully equipped farmhouse style kitchen, dining area and a roomy living space with the woodburner, television and plenty of lounging furniture. The bedroom is home to a sumptuous king-sized bed with deluxe memory foam mattress as well as a spa-like bathroom where the grand, freestanding bathtub can be found. Plenty of time should be spent soaking in this contoured bath which cradles the body for a lovely restful experience. There is also a rainfall shower as well as a handheld shower in the bathroom.
Guests can immerse themselves in farm life as much as they would like to, with the chance to help collect eggs, feed the sheep and pigs and even witness lambing season in the spring. Outside of the farm, the local town of Chipping Sodbury is full of lovely amenities, including a butcher, greengrocer and a great coffee shop called Hamptons. The brunch here is worth a try! Visitors can make use of the free 'park and ride' service into the ancient city of Bath, which is just 15-minutes away, while those looking to experience the picturesque Cotswolds can get exploring with just a short drive.
