Learn moreThis utterly charming and cosy hut offers a truly rustic romantic retreat tucked away in a peaceful wood in the Worcestershire countryside. Tranquil and calming, this two-person shepherd’s hut invites you to relax and unwind in a serene spot, connecting with your loved one whilst soaking up the scenery around you.
Outside, you’re surrounded by lush greenery and scenic woodland, and inside, you’ll find the hut has a rustic, countryside feel. Exposed wood is everywhere, and vintage furnishings give the space a classy feel. A log-burner keeps things toasty and warm on cooler days, but when the sun is shining you can step outside and get comfy at your alfresco table and chairs, which offer a lovely spot to sit in the fresh country air with a drink in hand.
Back inside, the shepherd’s hut has a quaint kitchen with a small fridge and a larger fridge/freezer sits out on the decking area. There’s also an electric oven and hob and a small BBQ, so you have plenty of options for whipping up romantic meals using delicious local produce.
40 metres from your shepherd’s hut, you’ll find a separate cabin with a wonderful vintage bathroom complete with a roll-top bathtub. This is the ideal place for an indulgent soak after a day hiking the surrounding countryside. However, if you want something even more opulent, head to the brook-side deck where there are two vintage tin baths for alfresco soaks beneath the stars.
When the stars come out, you can also get cosy around the open fire, toasting marshmallows with an evening drink in peace. You can also use this fire to try your hand at open fire cooking with the cast-iron Dutch oven, tripod and grill. This offers you the ultimate off-grid experience.
Surrounded by the stunning Abberley countryside, there are plenty of scenic walks and cosy pub lunches to enjoy - the owners are more than happy to recommend routes. Hop on a vintage steam train with the Severn Valley Railway, or explore historic Ludlow with its medieval castle and bustling markets. Enjoy local craft beer at Nothing Bound Brewery or head into the vast Wyre Forest for walking, cycling and Go Ape. Don’t miss a visit to charming Bewdley for riverside views, fish and chips and traditional pubs.
