Abalyne Beach House is set overlooking Filey Bay in North Yorkshire with fantastic views down to the sea from almost every room. Everything you need is within walking distance, with the town centre a short stroll away and the beach on your doorstep. Enjoy lazy days on the terrace watching the waves or busy family beach days looking for remnants of shipwrecks and exploring the rock pools. With four spacious bedrooms, there’s room for the whole family or plenty of flexibility for groups of friends to enjoy a relaxing trip to the seaside.
The interior has been decorated and furnished in a contemporary style with white walls and big windows helping to emphasise the sense of space. The house has a laid-back beachy feel with comfy sofas to sit back and relax on after a walk along the coast and the large windows drawing you towards the view over the sea. There’s also a private terrace outside with seating and an uninterrupted view over the water.
The spacious kitchen is the heart of the house with a kitchen island and range cooker providing plenty of space and cooking power to feed a busy family. There’s a dining area with seating for eight and a utility room just off the kitchen which is handy for washing sandy clothes and beach gear. After dinner, head through to the living room for a film and a board game or two or get stuck into a good book in the separate chill-out room, perfect for when you want a bit of downtime.
There are four bedrooms in total, two on the first floor and two on the second floor. You’ll find an ensuite double room, a twin bedroom and a family bathroom on the first floor. Head upstairs to find another double and a twin, both with ensuite shower rooms.
The house is located in a great spot for a laid back holiday with the beach on one side and rolling countryside on the other. Wander into town and pick up some supplies at the independent bakery, butchers and greengrocers or head to one of the fish and chip shops for a classic British seaside dinner. If you fancy a change of scene from the beach, stretch your legs with a walk inland to the Wolds or hop on a bus for a day trip to Scarborough or Hull.
Note there is a 3 night minimum stay .
