Cabin Halcyon is nestled in a tranquil woodland near the village of Drymen, in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. This stunning location is the perfect setting for reconnecting with nature and your loved one, and the delightfully unique cabin is the ultimate haven for relaxation. You can slumber in the comfort of the luxurious double bed, soak in the outdoor bathtub listening to the peaceful sounds of the woods, wander the beautiful sculpture trail and then finish your day cosying up by the crackling fire. You’ll also receive a welcome hamper full of goodies on arrival.
The beautifully handcrafted cabin has been designed with your comfort (and the environment) in mind. The open-plan interior is warm and welcoming, and surprisingly spacious. Inside you’ll find a compact but well equipped kitchenette - complete with all the cooking and dining essentials you could need – and a table and chairs. A comfy double bed awaits when it’s time to sleep, fitted with a sumptuous mattress, fine Egyptian cotton bed linen and a feather duvet. The cabin also boasts an ensuite with shower, WC and washbasin (eco-friendly bathroom products and fluffy bathrobes are provided). Central heating keeps Halcyon warm throughout the year.
The cabin’s large deck area is just impressive. The front deck, with outdoor table and chairs, is the perfect spot for alfresco dining, or relaxing with a tipple and watching the sunset behind the dell. To the side is another seating area and the outdoor bath, underneath an all-weather canopy and draped in hessian curtains for complete privacy and extra warmth. You’ll also be treated to a wood fire with a generous amount of kindling and firewood, and a frying pan and utensils for outdoor cooking. At night this area is lit up by twinkling festoon lights, creating a magical and immersive atmosphere.
A wonderful highlight of the site is Arcadia's lush woodland and ponds teeming with wildlife, including deer, stag, herons and buzzards. Arcadia's unique sculpture trail leads you through ancient bluebell woods where artwork and sculptures are waiting to be discovered. Guests are also welcome to have a look around the sculpture studio, converted from an enormous barn, and now a local centre for arts, the environment and education.
If you can pry yourselves away from the site, there is an abundance to do in the surrounding area. Why not have a swim or paddle around nearby Loch Lomond, scramble up the fells of Ben Lomond or walk a part of the famous West Highland Way? Worked up an appetite from all that adventuring? There are plenty of excellent eateries in the local village of Drymen. And if a wee dram is what you’re after, there are some top whisky distilleries within easy reach, including Glengoyne, Deanston and Auchentoshan distillery.
