This wonderful idyllic hillside hideaway surrounded by trees is the perfect romantic spot for a couple to relax and unwind, with fabulous beaches just a short walk away.
The timber framed chalet is hidden away in nature and surprisingly spacious inside. There's over 60 square metres of living space and the living, kitchen and dining areas are modern and welcoming. Large picture windows bring the outside in and there are great views over to Charmouth, Lyme Regis and the sea.
There's a kitchen against one wall with everything you could need to cook a delicious meal to enjoy at the little two seater table. A comfy sofa faces the flat screen TV for movie nights and the wood panelled walls and decked flooring gives it a real cabin in the woods feel. All of the decorative touches bring nature into the space, from the twisted twig stand of the lampshade to the many potted plants tucked in and around the room. It's warm, cosy and just perfect for lazing about over long suppers, drinking wine and playing board games, or simply putting your feet up with a good book.
The spacious double bedroom is simply and elegantly decorated with a king sized bed, above which is a huge skylight with electronic blinds. On a clear night you can leave them open and fall asleep beneath the stars.
Wake after a restful night and freshen up in the walk-in shower room before making that first cup of coffee which you can enjoy out on the wrap around decking, an absolute treat. Surrounded by trees and nature it's a wonderful spot to sit and make plans for the day.
This bolthole is perfect at any time of year; secluded and super cosy in winter and in springtime alive with bluebells and the sounds of local wildlife including deer, badgers, buzzards and owls.
Situated near the top of National Trust owned Hardown Hill, you'll discover beautiful heathland walks with gorgeous views over the Marshwood Vale. Nearby is Langdon Woods and further down towards the coast you can explore Golden Cap Estate.
You're a 45 minute walk from Stanton St Gabriel or a short drive to Seatown or Charmouth beach. The village has a great farm shop, 'Felicity's', where you can stock up on lots of local treats and delicacies, and if you want some local fresh seafood, treat yourself to Mark Hix's fish truck which is open on Friday and Saturday mornings.
