Overlooking rolling fields, with a cosy and homely interior, this beautiful cottage offers groups of up to four a peaceful stay in rural Fife. Picture windows throughout frame the lovely views, whilst the soothing colour palette and wonderful hand-picked furnishings create a calming and delightful atmosphere in which to unwind.
Get comfy in the cosy lounge, where a wood-burning fireplace keeps you toasty and warm whatever the weather outside. The lounge features a lovely sofa and some armchairs where you can settle in and catch up with old friends over a glass of wine, or enjoy a movie night on the TV.
When tummies rumble, head to the stylish kitchen, where modern appliances ensure you have all you need to prepare hearty meals for your group. And, when dinner’s ready, serve it up in the charming dining room, where a rustic table and benches set the scene for social dinners with your nearest and dearest.
Stepping outside, the cottage has a peaceful garden that overlooks the fields beyond. Sit out here in the summer sunshine and unwind in the fresh air, or enjoy an evening tipple as the sun sets, lighting the firepit to keep you nice and warm.
Then, when eyes grow weary, make your way to the two superb bedrooms, both of which offer a tranquil night’s sleep. The master bedroom has a king size bed and an optional safari bed, just in case you’re bringing a fifth guest with you. Then, the second bedroom is nice and flexible, with two single beds that can be configured as a super-king size bed on request. The family bathroom is quaint but nicely equipped with a bathtub that offers a spot for indulgent soaks.
If you wish to venture out and explore, there’s lots to see and do nearby. Wander the Fife Coastal Path, or hike inland to Falkland or the Lomond Hills, or bike Blairadam Forest or Kinghorn Loch. Golf lovers can enjoy world-class courses within 40 minutes - St Andrews, Gleneagles and Dunbarnie among them. Discover local whisky with tours at Kingsbarns, Lindores Abbey or Edinburgh’s Scotch Whisky Experience. Dine at Burntisland’s One One Four Bistro, The Fix pub or grab pastries at Sunrise Bakery - local favorites just minutes away.
