The Details
Waveside is a stunning stone built house right beside the water in the peaceful Retallack Resort in North Cornwall.
Retallack is a quiet collection of luxury holiday properties near Padstow, centred around the waters of Fistral Lake. Waveside sits on the lake shore, offering tranquil views and sightings of the resident ducks and darting kingfishers.
It's a cool contemporary home and at its heart is the fabulous glass-fronted terrace with outdoor dining table, BBQ and hot tub. It's the ideal outdoor space, just made for long alfresco lunches, or a glass of bubbles in the hot tub after a busy day at the beach.
Inside it's a smart and spacious pad. The airy open-plan kitchen living space opens out onto the terrace, letting in light and lake views. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you'll need to put together a family meal, including proper oven and hob, fridge freezer, dishwasher and Nespresso machine. The living room with its two sofas makes the perfect spot to put your feet up and watch a film after dinner. There's also a handy utility room with washing dryer, iron, and ironing board.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms and bathrooms. You'll want to nab the master bedroom, with its terrace looking out across the lake, super kingsize bed and ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom is snug and peaceful and can be made up as a superking, or two twin beds, with an ensuite bathroom with walk-in shower.
Outside, the resort is on your doorstep. The vibe is calm but family friendly, with adventures for the kids, indoor pool, gym and spa facilities for the grown-ups and a restaurant, bar and beach club cafe on site. Beyond is Cornwall's beautiful Atlantic coast, with Padstow and its world-famous dining scene, the coast, sandy beaches and some of Britain's best surfing spots.
